Massimiliano Allegri has urged his AC Milan players to "wake up" on the back of an argument between Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic.

Milan lost 1-0 to Lazio last weekend as they failed to capitalise on Inter's draw with Atalanta in the Serie A title race, while Napoli moved up to second on Friday with a win over Cagliari.

The Rossoneri have lost two of their last four Serie A matches (W2), after remaining unbeaten in the previous 24 games in the competition (W15 D9).

Following their loss against Lazio last time out, they could suffer two consecutive league defeats for the first time since February-March 2025 – three in that instance, the first of which was against Torino, who Milan face next.

After the Lazio defeat, Leao reportedly complained to Pulisic about a lack of passes from the American, which was also said to be an issue prior to the match.

Allegri played down any disputes between his attacking players, but believes it should serve as a wake-up call for his side.

"As for the Leao-Pulisic duo, they've had a season with injuries," said Allegri. "One missed pre-season, the other had a good pre-season, and then was out for two months. Now it's important to do well in the last two months.

"Pulisic is doing well; in terms of physical condition, he put in a good performance in Rome. He lacks accuracy in his shots, but he'll find it again.

"Rafa has nine goals; he still has some games to go, and he can reach double figures.

"But now we have everyone available; to play, we need to wake up. Everyone.

"Whoever has the ball has to see who's unmarked. He didn’t pass that ball to him because he didn't see it. But it's happened other times, too.

"The difference in football is the choice of the final pass. With Leao, I said: 'He didn't see you, otherwise he would have passed it to you'. It didn't take much."

Torino, meanwhile, are 14th, nine points above the drop zone, and are looking to make it back-to-back wins in Serie A after a victory over Parma last time out.

Luka Modric is Milan's outfield player with the most minutes (2,366) in Serie A this season.

The 39-year-old has not played as many minutes in a single league campaign for five seasons, since 2020-21 (2,743 in that campaign).

Torino – Duvan Zapata

Duvan Zapata has scored eight goals against AC Milan in Serie A – only against Sassuolo has he scored more (10) – including in his last three league games against them (May and August 2024, plus December 2025).

Only three players in the three-points-for-a-win era (since 1994-95) have found the net in four consecutive Serie A matches against AC Milan: Antonio Di Natale, Diego Milito, and Romelu Lukaku.

MATCH PREDICTION – AC MILAN WIN

Milan are unbeaten in their last 29 home matches against Torino in Serie A (W20 D9) – their last home defeat against the Granata in the competition was in March 1985 (0-1, with Nils Liedholm as coach).

Only against Hellas Verona have Milan avoided defeat in more consecutive home top-flight matches (34, between May 1958 and December 2025) than against Torino (29).

However, Torino have won their last two Serie A matches against Milan in the second half of the season – as many as they had in their previous 27 such games.

Torino have not won any of their last five away league matches (D1 L4) and have conceded at least two goals in each of them (15 goals in total, an average of three per game).

Eleven of Milan's 17 victories in Serie A this season have come by just one goal; overall, among all teams with at least as many wins as the Rossoneri (17) in Europe's top five leagues this season, Milan have scored the fewest goals (44).
